The Prince Albert II Foundation is a Monaco based charitable organization supporting efforts to promote environmental protection, sustainable development, the advancement of renewable energies, water resource management, and biodiversity. In 2008, a traveling exhibit was created to showcase the Foundation's long legacy of environmental stewardship.
Designed in collaboration with Theory Group, the exhibit consist of three glowing cylinders themed "Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow." The cylinder's structure is based upon a double wall approach utilizing an extruded aluminum frame and tension mounted acrylic panels. Each internally lit cylinder tells its story through the use of short videos and layered graphic effects. Text, image, and large scale pattern graphics of varying translucency were applied to both inner and outer acrylic panels. The use of the cylindrical form was chosen in part due to its flexibility and physical fluidity in crowded spaces. The cylinder's quadrant structure was designed for efficient travel, set up, and maintenance
